John Findlay
MSc CEng MCIWEM FGS

An independent consultant with over 20 years experience of project management in groundwater development, protection and treatment. He has worked throughout the UK, Middle East, India & the Far East. Former director of Zenith International & Earth Tech Engineering, John formed Envireau in 2002. He has managed projects for major multinational manufacturers, local & national agencies, spas & construction companies.

Anna Findlay
MSc

A hydrogeologist with 5 years experience of groundwater development and licensing issues. Her major area of expertise and interest is in the supply of natural waters to spas. Prior to forming Envireau with John, Anna spent 2 years with the Environment Agency in Yorkshire and Devon and 3 years with Zenith International in Bath.

Helen Lawrie
BSc Hons, MSc, FGS

Helen is now an independent consultant after working as a hydrogeologist in the public and private sector since 1998. She spent 2½ years dealing with groundwater pollution incidents and groundwater quality issues resulting from contaminated land, for the Environment Agency in North London, before moving south to focus on groundwater resource issues. Helen has 3 years experience in managing drilling projects and abstraction related impact assessments. Her main areas of interest are hydrogeological reviews, borehole design and pump test analysis.

Dr Tim Grapes
BSc MSc PhD FGS



Tim is a freelance groundwater consultant with over 5 years professional experience and is now an associate of Envireau. He has worked in both regulatory and consultancy environments and has familiarity with groundwater resource evaluation, groundwater risk assessment and groundwater abstraction licensing in a wide variety of UK aquifers. In 2004 Tim completed his PhD on groundwater – river interaction in a Chalk catchment at the University of Birmingham and he maintains research links with the University, his interests being focused on the hydrology and geomorphology of Chalk catchments.

Envireau has formed a strategic alliance with Aardvark EM Ltd based in Somerset. Details of two of their senior staff working with Envireau are given below:

Mark Clayton
BSc Hons MCIWEM MBIAC

Mark, is a graduate of Imperial College, He established Aardvark in 1997 to provide environmental innovation to all forms of industry, agriculture and marine based projects. Within the first 2 years Aardvark won a DTI Smart Innovation Award for its work in developing low cost oil clean up systems. Mark has worked both in the UK and overseas and has extensive experience in wastes, renewable energy and water.

Nick Leaney
BSc Hons MRICS

Nick, a graduate of Oxford Brookes University, is a qualified Chartered Surveyor with over 10 years of experience in the commercial property sector. He was previously with Strutt & Parker where he was a Partner in their commercial division based in London. Nick heads up Aadvark’s sustainable development and renewable energy team providing expert advice for the property sector and has recently qualified as a BREEAM for Offices Assessor. Nick's role is also to build on the important pivotal link between the property industry and the core Environmental skills that Aardvark can deliver.
